Tomoka's Twists

My PJism has expanded to hair accessories, and even though I have many headbands, scarves and other adornments I have yet to wear, I just had to order two new baubles, a HairZing and a Tomoka's Twist. I received my Tomoka's Twist last week and I wore it for the second time today. I ordered the S. Luxurious to go with my wonderful silver jewelry collection. I wish it were a bit longer, so I could wrap it starting at the front of my head. I have a big head so I have to move it back a ways before I twist it closed.

Like all puffs, my hair has to be completely dry. This was third day hair that I spritzed heavily with some homemade spritz a couple of days ago. My hair was so soft I suffered some serious HIF (hand in fro) disease today, which is why it's so frizzy in these pictures. To achieve this puff, I wrapped it around the back of my head and held the beaded ends in each hand. I overlapped the ends and pulled until it was positioned in a taut puff. I twisted the ends over several times to close.

Overall, I am pleased with it. It holds back my hair without putting stress on my hairline. Hopefully, I will figure out how to use my HairZing and I can post about that soon.
